Lamar Elementary Receives Library Grant
Lamar Elementary recently received a $14,497 library
grant. ESC2 Improving Literacy through School Libraries Grant provided over
428 books and Accelerated Reader Quizzes to Lamar Elementary School Library.
This grant, in conjunction with the KISD School Board Library Initiative
($5,000 per year) has helped Lamar Elementary exceed the TEA library book
standards. Peering over the boxes of books is school librarian, Mrs.
Monsibais. Parents are invited to come to the library with their children
after school from 3:00-4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Welcome to the Lamar Elementary Library Webpage! My name is Mrs.
Noemi Monsibais, and I am the school librarian. Our library features
over 10,909 books and over 5,795 Accelerated Reader Quizzes, and we are
adding more every school year! Come join me and read a great book!
I am here during the school day and after school Monday through Friday from
3:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. as part of the Lamar Elementary Parent and Child
After School Program. I look forward to sharing a great story book with you!
